ARRAN – 250th Robert Burns Anniversary Limited Edition 70cl Bottle

Award-winning Whisky producer, Isle of Arran Distillers, has released a limited edition bottling of its Single Malt to commemorate the 250th anniversary (1759 – 2009), of the birth of Scotland’s national poet, Robert Burns, which takes place on 25th January 2009. A limited edition bottling of only 6,000 bottles distilled in 1998. Officially endorsed by the World Burns Federation – signatures and crest. The casks (15 ex-sherry hogsheads) for this bottling were hand-selected by the Distillery Manager, James MacTaggart, from the 1998 distillation. Beautifully presented in a rigid presentation box. Tasting Notes: Colour: Golden, like Ayrshire Sunrise. Aroma: Milk-Chocolate and vanilla mingle with a fresh burst of citrus. Palate: Beautifully rounded malt that dances on the tongue. Heather honey; backed apples and cinnamon. Finish: ‘A Drams a Dram for A’ That’ but this is liquid poetry.
